Andrea George
How can I help you improve your health?
I completed my Physiotherapy degree at the University of the Witwatersrand in 1988, followed by a two year post-graduate certificate in acute medicine.
During my physiotherapy career I have worked extensively within the South African national health system and the private sector. I have a wealth of experience in the treatment of postoperative conditions, including hip and knee replacements, as well as complex lower limb reconstruction surgery. Previous roles have included working at a large national health hospital in Johannesburg, with rotation and special interest in intensive care work.
I have also worked in several private hospitals, covering both musculoskeletal conditions, as well as inpatient work, and owned a private practice in South Africa for 4 years. I have also the managed the physiotherapy services in Bristol for the last 10 years, as well as health assessments at other sites.
My treatment approach is adapted to each individual’s requirements, and we work in close conjunction with the consultant, to ensure the best outcomes for the patient, with particular attention given to functional goals.
